Purpose:

Lead the marketing function of the dealer organization working with the customer segment leads & department leads to sell equipment, parts & service in the dealer organization’s trade area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining corporate brand strategy in-market with customers, internally with associates and externally with equipment manufacturers & related support organizations
  • Development of marketing strategies & programs in alignment with manufacturer’s strategies & incentive programs
  • Implementation of the tactical marketing operations leveraging dealer & manufacturer resources
  • Dealer organization’s web site – continuous assessment and development of strategies to drive increased traffic
  • Allocation of dealer & manufacturer resources for most efficient and effective utilization to achieve corporate objectives in penetration, sales, market share & absorption
  • Customer segmentation, customer profile identification for refining targets & objectives
  • Customer experience – defining & aligning with corporate objectives
  • Leads the development and implementation of product merchandising and display strategies in-store, outside store & on-line
  • Continuous assessment of dealer organization’s on-line/digital strategies, presence, search, social media and entre into new/emerging mediums
  • Competitive & competitor analysis in multiple locations and within trade area
  • Monitors market trends and may also utilize customer insight technologies such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications to gain deeper understanding of customer shopping & buying trends
  • Define, manage, track & report on all marketing & advertising budgets & spends; develop monthly, quarterly, and annual advertising activities (television, radio, print, internet, social media, etc.)
  • Coordinating marketing activities & advertising placement with external agencies
  • Coordinating marketing functions & activities between the dealer organization & manufacturers marketing teams and leveraging manufacturers marketing resources
  • Coordinating & supporting dealer organization sales & marketing events at corporate level leveraging local dealers for implementation
  • Ensure appropriate marketing and public relations communications for all segments & departments of dealer organization
  • Member of the senior management team, assisting in the development and implementation of the corporate strategy
  • Member of the Sales Support Team in development of dealer incentives and marketing programs
  • Coordinating & supporting internal dealer organization events & meetings (annual All Company Meeting, Leadership meetings & Sales meetings)
  • Represent and promote the dealer organization in a professional and honest manner at all times, including personal conduct, behavior and appearance and dress
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 5-7 years marketing/sales management experience
  • Dealer organization & retail experience desired with knowledge of manufacturer sales incentives, co-op advertising programs and multi-store locations
  • Competitive analysis experience in territories/regions, manufacturers, dealers, etc.
  • Proven ability to lead & inspire others - face to face & remotely
  • Proven ability to be a team player on & off the bench  
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and within a group
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret internal and external reports
  • Proven ability to be creative and innovative from multiple perspectives- customer, manufacturer, dealer 
  • Bachelors Degree in business, marketing or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing, sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays if required
  • Ability to travel to manufacturer events/meetings and ability to travel by auto to branch locations (day trips)
