TriGreen Gator Ride Event at Wooly's Off-Road, May 7th 2011

This Really IS Rocket Science!

The 2010-2011 NASA Student Launch Projects (SLP), challenges middle, high school, and college student teams to design, build, and launch a reusable rocket to one mile above ground level while carrying a scientific or engineering payload. What these students experience really IS rocket science and will help drive the dreams and aspirations of the nation's next leaders of space exploration.
TriGreen Equipment was privileged to provide some John Deere Gator™ utility vehicles for use during the 2010 fall launch week event at Bragg Farms near Toney, Alabama, where the teams were cheered on by hundreds of Marshall team members and North Alabama rocket enthusiasts. With high powered rockets launching to one mile above the ground, the Gators™ were useful in the recovery of the rockets that in some cases landed quite a distance from the launch pads.
For more complete information and videos of the SLP visit here. The next launch date will be on April 16, 2011. For some more interesting fun and games visit the NASA Kids' Club.
