Sales Support - Athens, AL

Type of Employment: Full Time

Purpose:

Performs a full range of sales functions and sales transactions for multiple dealer locations. Processes sales and completes settlements daily. Communicates with Sales staff on errors or missing information on deals in Workflow. Submits all applicable paperwork and information needed by John Deere settlement auditors. Assists with other sales department tasks as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review sales made by the sales staff for accurate information and documentation using company software systems
  • Settle for equipment, take applicable bonuses and floorplan used equipment
  • Enter accounting entries with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Research deals that do not balance, generate reports as needed, and interpret various entries within the Dealer Business System
  • Assist with inventory maintenance and John Deere/QuikTrak audits as needed
  • Be knowledgeable of John Deere’s monthly statement cutoff and expiring incentives to ensure settlements are made before expiration date
  • Communicate with co-workers, sales staff, and other departmental managers in a professional and courteous manner when collecting missing information and paperwork
  • Ensures sales processes are maintained
  • Maintains a positive attitude and a good working relationship with the sales team, customers and financial institutions
  • Report all discrepancies or inconsistencies to Sales Support Lead
  • Submit supporting documents to the John Deere settlement team
  • Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect new and used equipment financing (UCC)
  • Complete and mail MCO’s to customers as needed
  • Participates in all training activities to continually develop technical knowledge and skill sets
  • Provides appropriate support to managers as directed
  • Addresses other employees with respect and professionalism
  • Follow all TriGreen policies and procedures along with all safety rules and regulations
  • Promotes TriGreen Equipment in a professional, honest manner (to include personal appearance & dress)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 1 year of work/accounting experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Some college/vocational training preferred
  • Ability to create, analyze, and interpret internal reports
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office suite, internet tools & functions
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing, sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
