Logistics Coordinator - Athens, AL

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing logistics to meet company goals and expectations
  • Schedules the pickup and delivery, inner company transport requests from Service, New and Used Goods Sales departments
  • Optimizes vehicle assets in the areas routing and capacity to ensure timely pickup and deliveries
  • Communicates accurate pickup delivery dates and details with internal and external stakeholders
  • Accurately posts charges for services provided
  • Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local transport and vehicle regulations, reporting and the permitting processes
  • Review driver hours and approve for payroll
  • Responsible for driver staffing, compliance, coaching and employee development activities
  • Manages all departmental vehicle and transport equipment, maintenance schedules and repairs within budget
  • Manages the lifecycle of the transport vehicles, anticipates and helps to determine transport needs and required capabilities
  • Analyzes data and reports so that appropriate actions drive continuous improvements within the department
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
  • Ensure that company’s reputation and image in the community is consistent with company Core Values
  • Promotes TriGreen Equipment in a professional, honest manner (to include personal appearance and dress)
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with other TriGreen locations and including peers, management, and support resources with a continuous commitment to teamwork
  • Follows all policies and processes
  • Follows and promotes all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments for all TriGreen team members
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge in delivery logistics, regulatory delivery practices, and superb time management skills • Proven ability to lead others
  • Basic machinery and vehicle capability knowledge
  • Effectively communicate with customers, maintain professional image, establish rapport
  • Ability to work in a face paced team environment
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products desired
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office suite, internet tools & functions
  • Must have analytical, business planning, problem solving, communication, motivational and interpersonal people skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to analyze and interpret reports
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing, sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays
