Primary Objective:
Leads the sales team in driving revenue and customer satisfaction through the sale of new and used agricultural and outdoor power equipment. Supports and guides sales staff while also actively engaging in the sales process with new and existing customers.
Essential Duties:
- Serves as the primary point of contact and mentor for the sales team in a defined territory.
- Represents the company in the sale of equipment to both new and existing customers.
- Supports team members with sales strategies, customer engagement, and product knowledge.
- Maintains expert-level knowledge on features, benefits, and competitive positioning of all equipment sold by the dealership.
- Tracks and communicates competitive activity and market trends to management and the team.
- Oversees the accuracy and maintenance of customer sales records within the CRM system.
- Assists with coordinating and conducting field demonstrations of new equipment.
- Identifies growth opportunities by monitoring customer business trends and market shifts.
- Educates and supports customers and team members in understanding financing options.
- Leads by example by attending and encouraging participation in relevant sales training and development programs.
- Ensures all assigned company vehicles, demo equipment, and tools are maintained in top condition.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of agricultural or outdoor power equipment sales experience required; prior team leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team while maintaining personal sales performance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data to guide decision-making.
