
Purpose:
Sells new and used agricultural, turf and/or construction equipment to new and existing customers
in a defined market area and/or industry segment.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined market area and/or industry segment
• Regularly calls on customers in the field (job sites, farms, businesses)
• Prospects and develop new strategic accounts
• Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
• Utilizes Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) software to manage customer accounts and scheduling
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
• Works and collaborates with other TriGreen customer-facing specialists; ie: Precision Ag, Governmental Sales, Used Equipment Manager, et.al.
• Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management
• Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
• Understands and follows defined sales processes
• Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment
• Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events, marketing events, etc.
• Conducts new equipment field demonstrations for customers and employees
• Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to
management
• Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
• Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
• Shall maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes
• Assists customers with machine start-up as needed
• Promotes TriGreen Equipment in a professional, honest manner (to include personal appearance and dress)
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with other TriGreen locations and including peers, management, and support resources with a continuous commitment to teamwork
• Follows all policies and processes
• Follows and promotes all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments for all TriGreen team members
• Performs other duties as assigned
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
• 1+ years equipment sales experience
• Knowledge of agricultural, turf equipment or construction equipment and farming, construction or
operational practices preferred
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
• Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office suite, internet tools &
functions
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing,
sitting for prolonged periods of time
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays
