Expert Alerts

John Deere’s Expert Alerts system leverages predictive diagnostics to keep your machines running smoothly and stay ahead of potential issues. By identifying potential problems before they become critical, this proactive approach minimizes disruptions and ensures that your operations remain efficient and effective.

By analyzing telematics data, the Expert Alerts system provides early warnings about potential machine failures, allowing you to address problems before they cause costly downtime, and even allowing you to schedule repairs for a more convenient time. This forward-thinking technology is designed to enhance machine performance and extend the lifespan of your equipment.

Expert Alerts: What To Expect

You will get a phone call from TriGreen’s Connected Support Center, rather than your local dealership service department or sales professional – though they’ll be in the loop, too.

Our Connected Support Center specializes in these predictive alerts and monitors equipment for customers of all of our locations. The specialist who calls you will let you know what the alert is, whether your machine is still within warranty, and what the options are to address the alert.

How John Deere’s Expert Alerts System Works

John Deere’s Expert Alerts system is an industry-exclusive, proactive monitoring tool that notifies TriGreen Equipment of potential machine issues with the your permission. The system analyzes telematics data from your equipment to identify trends and indicators of imminent failure.

Expert Alerts are created by John Deere product subject matter experts who rigorously test to ensure high quality. The alerts are categorized into two types: critical and high. This categorization helps in prioritizing the issues that need immediate attention and those that can be scheduled for a later, more convenient time.

JDLink telematics is the backbone of John Deere’s Expert Alerts system. It connects machines and customers using advanced communication technologies such as CAN, Cellular, Satellite, and GPS. JDLink telematics enables machine guidance and control, remote diagnostics, and performance monitoring.

JDLink is standard on or can be added to many new John Deere machines, including 5 and 6 series utility tractors, skid steers and track loaders, row crop tractors, combines, cotton pickers, and sprayers.

Types of Expert Alerts: Critical vs High

There are two primary types of Expert Alerts:

  • Critical Alerts: These demand immediate action and are the highest priority. A critical alert indicates that machine downtime is imminent, and failing to address the issue promptly could result in more extensive repairs and increased downtime. These alerts ensure that technicians can diagnose and fix problems swiftly, minimizing the impact on your operations.
  • High Alerts: These alerts report machine problems that are not immediately critical but need attention within 1 to 2 weeks. High alerts provide a clear diagnosis and repair instructions, allowing you to plan maintenance at a convenient time without the urgency of imminent machine failure.

By categorizing alerts this way, John Deere ensures that you can prioritize repairs effectively, keeping your operations running smoothly.

Enabling Your Account With Your John Deere Equipment

When you partner with TriGreen Equipment in Operations Center, your John Deere equipment can be monitored for Expert Alerts. Here’s how you can get started:

  1. JDLink Verification: Verify that your machines are equipped with JDLink™. This should be listed as a line item on your equipment quote.

If you already have a John Deere Operations Center organization, your new machine will be added to your organization automatically by TriGreen Equipment at the point of purchase. Ensure you are partnered with TriGreen Equipment LLC in your Operations Center organization.

If you don’t already have an account, create one for free and add TriGreen Equipment LLC as a partner. Link your equipment using the Add Equipment Request within Operations Center. If you have any questions about this process, contact [email protected].
