Similarities

All three 4M Series tractors are equipped with a Category 1 three-point hitch in addition to having the same lift capacity (2,500 lbs.), steering hydraulics (6.2 gpm), implement hydraulics (11.2 gpm), and wheelbase (73 in.). Each is equipped with a four-cylinder engine, standard four-wheel drive, and your choice between the standard PowrReverser™ or optional eHydrostatic™ transmission.

Differences

The 4M Series tractors are all very similar machines. The question you need to ask yourself when choosing between them is how much power you need. The 4066M packs the most power of the three 4M SEries tractors, equipped with a 65.9 horsepower engine. For comparison, the 4044M offers 43.1 horsepower, and the 4052M is a step up with a 51.5 horsepower engine.

Much like their counterparts in the 4M Series, the 4R Series tractors share a number of similarities between the three machines. The three tractors offer the same size wheelbase (73 in.), steering hydraulics (6.2 gpm), implement hydraulics (11.2 gpm), and turning radius without brakes (9.84 ft.). The eHydrostatic™ transmission comes standard for all three machines, with the PowrReverser™ transmission optional.

Differences

Following the same trend as the compact utility tractors in the 4M Series, engine horsepower is what separates the 4R Series tractors. The 4066R is the most powerful (65.9 hp), followed by the 4052R (51.5 hp), and then the 4044R (43.1 hp). The 4044R is also equipped with a naturally aspirated diesel engine, compared to the turbocharged engine of the 4052R and 4066R.
