Parts Warehouse Lead - Crossville, TN

Purpose:

Oversees the parts warehouse storage area within the dealership. Ensures parts inventory integrity by following the processes for sending/receiving of shipments. Supports the parts orders generated by Aftermarket Sales Representative (ASR) or Customer Service Representative (CSR) by maintaining inventory and fulfilling the orders as needed. Builds trust and acts as support for customers they come in contact with.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Promotes TriGreen Equipment in a professional, honest manner (to include personal conduct, appearance, and dress).
  • Interacts in a positive and respectful manner with customers, vendors, and fellow TriGreen employees.
  • Maintains and adheres to effective department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Timely processing of sending and receiving of parts shipments (i.e. Customer & Stock Orders, transfers & Surplus Returns).
  • Receipts in shipments, verifies packing list matches the purchase order and ensures proper storage of inventory. Invoices for shipments are submitted for payment in a timely manner to maximize discounts and terms.
  • Reports all shortages and overages related to inventory orders and follows through with the vendor to reconcile.
  • When orders are shipped, ensure invoicing is completed in a timely manner, follows the prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of the dealership. Processes cores, warranties, and returnable merchandise as required.
  • Posts freight to invoices as needed for parts orders & transfers.
  • Communicates with the customer and ASR/CSR on the order status to provide information on availability, shipment tracking information, etc…
  • Communicates effectively and works closely with Corporate Manager and Parts Inventory Office for stocking needs to maximize the use of all order discount programs.
  • Conducts physical inventory and facilitates perpetual inventory process of all parts and related inventories.
  • Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit.
  • Controls and maintains proper paper flow in the Parts Department to reflect all parts activity and necessary to audit the performance of the department.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and attractive environment throughout the warehouse area of responsibility. To include but not limited to parts being organized & stored properly, warehouse is free of debris, work surfaces are clean and organized and routine housekeeping tasks.
  • Operate a forklift to assist in parts storage and ensure it is in good working order.
  • Uses and maintains dealership equipment and resources safely and proficiently.
  • Participants in promotional events on and offsite premises.
  • Follows all processes and procedures as outlined by the department.
  • Follows all company policies, safety rules & regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Understands and ensures adherence to corporate and customer data policies and procedures.
  • Participates in all training activities to continually develop knowledge and skill sets.
  • Performs various other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Parts Warehouse knowledge and operations.
  • Ability to use all web-based computer systems, including Parts Catalogs for John Deere and Allied Vendor Brands to analyze machine diagram and determine part needed accordingly.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications. Work order management software, John Deere DealerPath experience is a plus.
  • Experience operating equipment a plus, especially a forklift.
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required.
  • Two plus years of experience in an agricultural or turf related role with involvement in activities such as sales, service, training or other related work preferred.
  • Have well developed phone presence and high comfort level in initiating conversations.
  • Must be self-starters and proactive problem solvers.
  • Possess good organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have analytical, business planning, problem solving, communication, motivational and interpersonal people skills.
  • Ability to speak effectively in one or more group settings.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; some college/vocational training preferred.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing for prolonged periods and sitting.
