The Gator Utility Vehicle Lineup of Models
John Deere has three main categories of utility vehicles. The full-size crossover utility vehicles, sometimes referred to as XUVs, have seven new models for 2025. This includes:

- XUV875M diesel

What’s New with the Gator Side by Side
Redesigned Configurable Cargo Box
The Gator now comes with class-leading cargo box volume and a 1000 lb capacity. The cargo box is now the same width as the cab. John Deere designed it with tractor owners in mind. John Deere 1R and 2R tractors can easily dump materials directly into the back of the cargo box.
You can easily stay organized with the new built-in features for cargo box configurability.
- Use lumber to divide the box and make less trips. For example, one side for dirt, the other for plants – and you’re on your way to garden.
- Level up your storage. Add a second level with the storage lip on the inside of the box. Slide tools underneath and stack bags of mulch, feed or minerals on top.
- Five d-ring tie downs with 400-lb capacity also lay flat in pockets when not in use
- Easily attach and remove Gator attachments like tool racks with stake pocket clamps
- An optional utility rack keeps tools out of the cargo box and still takes them where you’re going. It can be customized with John Deere Gator accessories, including toolboxes and holders designed to carry a fuel can, a 5-gal bucket, or even a beverage cooler.
Depending on your selected comfort and convenience package, you could also get 12-V power in the bed. Power spreaders, sprayers and more with a dash-mounted switch.
Tailgate Workbench
This John Deere side by side comes with an innovative tailgate that doubles as a portable workbench. You can:
- Use the v-channel and reinforced clamping pockets to secure round objects and position square edge objects against bump stops.
- Measure items with the built-in ruler
- Hold smaller items like hardware in the side pockets
Now Even More Comfortable
3-passenger Gators have a 40/60 split bench seat for a driver and two passengers. Bring your cups along with you – all of them – because there are four cup holders in the dash plus an in-door cup holder and pocket on cab models.
4-passenger Gators come with durable black vinyl and front and rear bench seats. The rear seat folds forward for more cargo space. Operator platforms are easy to enter and exit, even wearing bulky work boots.
You can order both 3-passenger and 4-passenger Gators with comfort and convenience packages. These can add powered dump cargo box lift, LED headlights, spray-in bed liner, and more.
Becoming Even More Rugged
Price your new John Deere Gator with extra protection. New packages add to the heavy-duty styling. They also protect your new investment from whatever the hills of Tennessee or Alabama throw at it.
The premium protection package includes a heavy-duty front brush guard, and rear bumper, plus brush guard extensions and fender guards for one-row vehicles. The ultimate protection package adds floor mats to the package. It also includes the Bumper Pro brush guard. The Bumper Pro has full-height rubber bumpers and a protective center screen.
